Join us for this unique day-long writing workshop in which we'll be looking at the concept of "freedom" and how to write about it yourself.

Included in the ticket price:

1. A full day of writing tuition on the subject of "freedom" (6 hours)
2. A Finch's Pub brunch (around midday)

4. An afternoon drink (*think a pint of beer, glass of wine or soft drink)

Together we'll be looking at:

What is freedom? Might it be freedom "from" slavery, from prison or a toxic relationship, from a family or cult? Might it be freedom "to" live, to dance, to love, run, create, or simply be lazy, to fester? Might it be freedom "within" a crowd, within a relationship, incaration - as paradoxical and nuanced as it sounds?

We'll be looking at authors like Maya Angelou, Martin Luther King, Franz Kafka, Albert Camus, Samuel Beckett, and Chimamanda Ngoze Adichie (+ more).

Whoever you are - whatever your level of curiosity - come along for teas/coffees, a late lunch, and lots of mindful writing exercises in between.

Meet some new, friendly people and do something authentic and fun with your weekend.

No experience of writing is necessary. 

No pressure to read or share your work in front of the group. 

Nobody will put you on the spot... for anything at all.

We're always a community of both regulars and newcomers - so whoever you are, you'll be more than welcome!

We meet at 11am, do a warm up writing exercise whilst having some teas/coffees, then straight into our first workshop. We'll break for brunch around 12:30pm, then do our second (smaller) writing workshop, till 4pm.

When we're done with our writing, we'll invite you to stay for a drink (this is included in the price of the ticket, and can be a pint, a small glass of red or white, or a soft drink).

If you like, you can stick around to meet other people like yourself, who'd love to know more about writing, London, life, creativity, and the wider world.

One way or another, we hope to elevate your mood and help you dig deeper into things that really matter.
