About the Event

Hi there!

If you'd like to, please join us on 2nd July in Old Street, London, for teas/coffees, food, drink, and... Modernist Artwork & Creative Writing.

Arrive at 11am to meet some new friendly faces. Order some teas, coffees, and a nice Finch's pub brunch. Then settle in with us for a no pressure, fun, informative writing workshop, with no pressure to read or pitch ideas, and no experience necessary.

We'll be looking at: how does art interact with writing? What does it inspire?

We'll look at paintings and sculptures by Pablo Picasso, Vincent Van Gogh, Edith Rimmington, and Louise Bourgeois.

We'll use the aesthetics, the biographies, and the stories within to inspire our writing.

In our workshops, we always take a friendly inclusive approach to everyone, especially newcomers.

We'll never put you on the spot for anything at all.

Just sit quietly, listen, learn, read, write, eat, drink, and take in some phenomenal modernist artwork.

Find out how you can inspire an entire piece of experimental fiction throughout the day.

If you'd like to invite a friend, please share our event for them to book their place, as well, and if you have any questions at all, please text us on 07534 981 636, and we'll do our best to help.
