Hi there,

This is a MeetUp for writers and non-writers, alike.

It is a friendly writing workshop and social event.

Come in at 6:45pm; buy yourself a drink at the bar, then come and find us in the private room upstairs, and say hello to some other friendly faces, before we start the workshop at 7:00pm.

There will be FREE snacks - and a FREE Penguin book for each person to take home and keep.

The idea behind this workshop is that you'll be introduced to some new, inspirational writing exercises, you'll work - using a handout, the book provided, and friendly writing games and prompts given to you by the tutor - to create your own story. Depending on the week, we'll cover things like character, perspective, tone, and dialogue.

If you want to make new friends, this event is for you.

If you want to make forays into a new, serious piece of writing, this event is for you.

If you just want to have a drink and surprise yourself doing something fun and spontaneous, this event is for you!
