About the Event
If you've never been to one of our workshops before, this is a great, warm, exciting, friendly and welcome time to start.
*beginners are absolutely welcome, as are seasoned professional writers.
The BIG, massive, AWESOME day of CREATIVE WRITING is all about fun. We'll be doing a bunch of immersive writing experiments. Talking in pairs. Using board games. Creating fun scenarios with each other. And using writing techniques from the worlds of surrealism, perspectivism, realism, and dialogue to generate some of our own, new, exciting creative writing.
*no pressure to read, pitch, present, or even contribute ideas in front of the group - you're welcome to be as vocal or non-vocal as you like.
We'll begin the day with teas and coffees. Then we'll writing, mingle, and share ideas. Then we'll stop for food - a Finch's Pub brunch - before going back into the flow of the workshop.
In the afternoon we'll move into some fun and games, using elements from board games to inspire our writing further.
Once we're all done with our writing exercises, we'll head the bar for a late afternoon drink (*all food and drinks mentioned here are included in the ticket price + you will receive a free Penguin mini-classic book to take home and keep).
We absolutely pride ourselves on creating a friendly, inclusive atmosphere, so whether you're a keen regular or joining us for the very first time, please rest assured you'll be in incredible company, and will be 100% welcome.
If you have any questions at all, please don't hesitate to text on 07534 981 636 - we'll be happy to help.
