Hi there,

If you can make yourself free, join a group of friendly, like-minded people on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th November. Together, we'll have a weekend full of fun, games, writing, eating and drinking.

Whatever stage of writing you're at (whether you're a newcomer, or a seasoned pro) this weekend will help stimulate your creativity. It will also help you develop a plot, characters, tone of voice and perspective for your work.

If you haven't started writing anything yet, we'll walk you through all the key stages of writing a successful short story or novel.

If you have already started writing, these sessions will also be brilliant for fleshing out your characters and honing all the elements of your existing prose.

On both days, we'll be having brunch together, then having writing sessions, doing bits and pieces of reading, then having friendly discussions, working with a number of different writing games and prompts.

No experience at all is necessary.

No pressure to read aloud, or to even talk at length about anything during the sessions.

Included in this weekend Urban Retreat is:

2 x breakfasts/brunches (one on Saturday and one on Sunday) 2 x 2-hour workshops on novel writing 1 x free book 2 x handouts 2 x breaks for lunch (one on Saturday and one on Sunday) 2 x afternoon snacks (some on Sat, some on Sun) 2 x private writing sessions (one on Sat and one on Sun) + numerous games, and the opportunity to stay for a quiet social drink and get to chat with friendly, likeminded people who are also interested in writing (this is particularly good for motivation and inspiration!).
